Former Emmerdale star Charley Webb has been spotted filming a new drama, her first role since leaving the long-running ITV soap opera earlier this year.
In January, the Debbie Dingle actress, 34, confirmed she had left Emmerdale for good. She has teased exciting new acting roles in recent weeks.
Charley was spotted filming in Leeds this week, for a new ITV drama about the Yorkshire Ripper. The image features her playing a police officer in the drama set in the 1970s.

Former Coronation Street star Katherine Kelly will play the role of Peter Sutcliffe’s second victim, Emily Jackson, reports Leeds Live. The shooting took place very close to the home of survivor Marcella Claxton.
Some locals were surprised the production company chose to film the serial killer drama so close to home. One woman said: ‘Imagine walking down the streets where you live and seeing a film about the crimes of your abuser.
The drama Yorkshire Ripper is Charley Webb’s first major role since leaving Emmerdale. Charley played Debbie Dingle for nearly two decades before leaving the show.
In March, discussing his career and a return to play, Charley said, “When the right thing comes to me, I’ll be back.” It looks like she’s found a good role to come back with.
