FEAR Street fans have called out Netflix for recycling an iconic TV – but do you recognize it?
The film was released on the streaming service last week and is the first installment in the Fear Street trilogy.

The film – full title Fear Street Part One: 1994 – follows a group of teenagers who discover that terrifying events that happened in their town of Shadyside, Ohio might be connected.
To make matters worse, they realize they might be the next targets.
However, some viewers couldn’t help but notice something familiar about the scenes set in a mall and became convinced it was Starcourt Mall in Stranger Things.
Unfortunately, they got it wrong, as the North DeKalb mall in Georgia was remodeled for filming on Fear Street, while Starcourt is filmed in the closed “ghost mall” Gwinnett Place in Duluth, Minnesota.

The film does, however, share some of the same filming locations as Stranger Things in the state of Georgia.
One Reddit user shared his findings, writing, “FS Police Station is Hawkins Post!”
The building is at 6981 Main Street Lithonia, Georgia and is used as the local newspaper’s headquarters in the hit series.
Netflix’s slasher flick features its fair share of suspense, gore, and guts, and it left many viewers nervous.

The film is directed by Leigh Janiak and is based on the book series of the same name by RL Stine, who also wrote the Goosebumps novel series.
The cast includes Kiana Madeira, Olivia Welch, Benjamin Flores Jr and Maya Hawke, who also stars in Stranger Things.
The second installment of the trilogy, titled Fear Street Part 2: 1978, will be released on July 9 while Fear Street Part 3: 1666 will follow on July 16.
Stranger Things Series 1-3 and Fear Street Part 1: 1994 are available on Netflix.
