MANILA, Philippines – Kapamilya presenter Karen Davila has revealed that she and her family have tested positive for COVID-19.
She broke the news during her interview with Dr Tony Leachon on ABS-CBN’s “Headstart”.
“I think this is the perfect opportunity for me to also share with the public that my own family has tested positive for COVID. We are COVID positive after arriving from vacation this coming new year, ”she said at the start of the interview.
“We are recovering fairly well, but many families could suffer from being quarantined from their homes,” she added.
In an Instagram post earlier today, Karen spoke to those who asked her why she was seen at the launch of the “TV Patrol” news return on free TV via A2Z. .
“Many of you have asked why I was not on TVPatrol for our free TV launch @ a2zchannel11. Five days ago our family tested POSITIVE for COVID19. Our 14 year old son, Lucas, has first tested positive for the antigen and we immediately did a family RT PCR test, ”she shared.
“Thank goodness our symptoms are MILD and I think it is because we have all been vaccinated and 2 of us have had booster shots.”
Although Karen’s children had a fever, cough and sore throat, and the host herself had fatigue and a lump in her throat, she said they were recovering well.
“Lucas finished his shots last October. David and I had booster shots last December 18th. My husband DJ is fully immunized and has not yet taken his booster shots. Our kids had a fever, a sore throat, cough. I felt tiredness and a lump in my throat. Thank God we are all recovering very well! Thank you @lifecoreph for your effective protocol. “
Despite her ordeal, Karen still manages to take care of her family and even work from home.
“I am extremely grateful that while looking after the children day and night, I was always able to do #ANCHeadstart in the morning. I have learned to cherish this quiet time at home for prayer, healing and rest. . Praise God for being with us every step of the way. We love you Lord. “
