Broadcast reporter Karen Davila returns as one of TV Patrol’s anchors as ABS-CBN’s flagship newscast reinforces its mission to serve Filipinos around the world with news and information that matters to them.
Davila joins fellow veteran news anchors Henry Omaga-Diaz and Bernadette Sembrano-Aguinaldo to lead the 34-year-old news program.
The award-winning anchor of Headstart on ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC), was part of the newscast for the first time from 2004 to 2010. She was also one of ABS-CBN’s late night newscast anchors- CBN Bandila before it ceased broadcasting in 2020. .
Meanwhile, senior reporter Pia Gutierrez takes Davila’s place in the ANC’s The World Tonight anchor desk with Tony Velasquez
Gutierrez, who currently covers President Rodrigo Duterte and is part of the Malacañang Press Corps, began her career as a reporter at ABS-CBN’s regional station in Baguio in 2006. She joined ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs in 2010.
TV Patrol airs Monday through Friday, 6:30 p.m. on ANC and TeleRadyo on cable and satellite TV, overseas via TFC, and online on the ABS-CBN News YouTube channel, news.abs-cbn.com , or listen to streaming audio via the ABS-CBN Radio Service app.
The World Tonight airs Monday through Friday, 9:00 p.m. on ANC and 10:40 p.m. on the Kapamilya channel and is also available on iWantTFC, TFC and other ABS-CBN News digital platforms.
