
Nebraska will look to snap their three-game losing streak next week when they face Ohio State, and will do so in front of a nationally televised offense.
The Big Ten announced Saturday night that Nebraska and Ohio State will kick off at 11 a.m. CT which will air nationally on FOX.
The Buckeyes enter Saturday’s game 7-1 after beating Penn State at home 33-24. Nebraska enters Saturday’s game looking to change the narrative of their season. The Huskers lost 28-23 to Purdue on Saturday and go 3-6 into next week’s game. Nebraska will have to win to avoid missing a bowling game for the fifth straight season.
The series between Nebraska and Ohio State has been largely one-sided. Ohio State holds an 8-1 overall record in the series, with the Big Red’s long victory coming in 2011 when the Huskers came from behind to win 34-27 at Lincoln.
Last season, Ohio State won 52-17 in the season opener. This followed a 2019 game at Lincoln where the Buckeyes won 48-7. This game had a lot of attention, with ESPN’s College Gameday being in town for the game.
“We just have to play better,” Nebraska head coach Scott Frost said after the loss to Purdue. “You know, we’re a good team, we’re not a great team, in terms of talent. We have to play better. A team shouldn’t need me to motivate them all the time. That’s my job. That’s what I do, but a great team doesn’t need a coach to motivate them all the time. We prepared them to play. I thought they were ready to play in the first half. They weren’t ready to play in the second half, we just stubbed our toes a few times and made too many mistakes and were beaten by a Big Ten side.
