MANILA – “TV Patrol” presenter Bernadette Sembrano returned to ABS-CBN’s flagship newscast on Wednesday after recovering from COVID-19.
Noli de Castro and Henry Omaga-Diaz have also resumed anchorage, having completed their period of self-quarantine.
The return of the three presenters coincided with the anniversary of the cessation of broadcasting of ABS-CBN.
Sembrano had announced that he contracted COVID-19 on April 22. She was medically certified as cured on May 1.
“We are back!” Sembrano wrote on Instagram. “Not in a studio, which is safer for everyone and outside. Yeah ! “
“Aside from the anchors, so many of our production person lights, cameramen have also been quarantined due to their exposure to COVID,” she said.
Over the past month, “TV Patrol” began using separate areas within the ABS-CBN complex, outside of its main studio, for its nightly newscast.
“We are learning,” Sembrano said. “I hope your workspaces do the same for you.”
Having survived COVID-19, the veteran journalist also reminded her subscribers of precautionary measures to minimize the risk of exposure, especially in the workplace.
“When you are in a poorly ventilated room – kahit solo kayo – never take off your mask. And don’t assume that na dahil feels fit and healthy kayo, hindi kayo positive, ”she said.
“Let’s take care of each other. Be careful! Live smart. Live freely.”
