
MANILA – ABS-CBN received a total of 14 awards at the ComGuild Media Awards 2019 on Sunday.
ABS-CBN’s flagship news program, “TV Patrol,” took home the program of the year award, leading ABS-CBN Integrated News and Current Affairs winners.
“Dos for Dos” won the award for best AM radio program, while “Matanglawin” was named best educational program.
“Umagang Kay Ganda” was also named Best Morning Show.
Network broadcast journalists have also received recognition from ComGuild. Radio and TV presenter Julius Babao was named most popular TV personality of the year, while Anthony Taberna won the award for best AM radio presenter.
Dyan Castillejo was named Best Lifestyle Program Host for “Sports U”, Karen Davila won Best Magazine Host for “My Puhunan” and Kim Atienza won Best Educational Program Host for ” Matanglawin “.
Jeff Canoy was also named Best Male Field Report of the Year, while Alvin Elchico and Bernadette Sembrano were named Best Male Presenter of the Year and Best Female Presenter of the Year, respectively.
“The Bottomline” won the award for best entertainment news program, while its host Boy Abunda was hailed as the best entertainment news host.
The ComGuild Media Awards are an annual event that rewards personalities and television and radio programs for their body of work voted by students from 70 member schools.
